What a wonderful visitation from God this past Sabbath. In the form of the Holy Spirit. At Pentecost the HolySpirit came as a mighty rushing wind and filled the house where they were sitting. Acts 2:2 After the events that followed they asked in Acts 2:12,What meaneth this?
To me it meant that God is answering prayer. It means our nights of prayer and fasting are being honored! Satan tried to stop what was about to happen by bringing a physical attack on one of our faithful members. When we stopped the order of service to pray, God defeated Satan. Then, as the Holy Spirit began to move upon His people, a faithful servant was drawn to the altar to pour out her heart to God. As she prayed I was led of the Holy Spirit to open the altars to all who would come. Seekers came with different needs and heavy burdens. God came with answers, healing, and deliverance. One of those found salvation for the first time!
Not the visitation of Acts 2:41, in which they that gladly received His Word were baptized, and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls, but for our small church family, a wonderful victory.
Acts 4:31 says, and when they had prayed, the place was shaken, where they were gathered together, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the Word of God with boldness. May we be so shaken! But Sunday was more like a gentle rain, quiet with that special aroma that comes after it. It left our dry spirits saturated with the Holy Spirit. It reminded me of the song “Jesus”. One verse says, like the fragrance after the rain. All I can say is I want more, I need more. How about you? Let’s pray, fast, trust, and believe for a real Holy Ghost Revival.
